Delroy McDowell

Delroy McDowell is a black belt under Zé Marcello. As 5 time IBJJF European champion and with an undefeated MMA record, Delroy teaches in Luton and Peterborough, and has led many students to victory in european and national BJJ and MMA competitions. Del won Gold at British Open 2015 at brown belt, earning him his black belt!

Neville smith

Nev has been training Brazilian Jiujitsu for 8 years. However his martial arts training began many years before starting BJJ back when he was 13 years old with Kung Fu/Kick Boxing. At aged 14 he moved over to a full contact based Karate and spent the next 30 years in training.

It was through Karate that he realised that, although kicking and punching had their merits, it fell short when it came to grappling and ground fighting. It was then that he turned to Icon Peterborough, Brazilian Jiujitsu Team to fill that void. He has remained with the club ever since.

He states that his journey in Brazilian Jiujitsu has been nothing but positive and would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to make a positive change in their life.

 

Josh hood

Josh teaches our adults MMA classes. He started out kickboxing at a young age and has won a multitude of competitions. He joined Icon back in 2015 and was presented with his purple belt in November 2021. He made his MMA debut very shortly after in December 2021 on cage warriors academy in Cardiff winning convincingly by unanimous decision.
